Hallways are often overlooked, typically seen as mere passageways to more exciting rooms. But remember that the journey itself should be just as delightful as the destination!
It's high time to declutter your hallways and transform them into practical and visually stunning spaces. We've collected our designer's best ideas to maximise your hallway space with their creative hallway storage ideas.

At My Bespoke Room, we love nothing more than multifunctional furniture, and the hallway shoe storage bench is a perfect example of this. There are so many ways you can pull this look off, we couldn't list them all if we tried, and that's why we adore this hallway storage idea.
Whether you purchase an upmarket piece, or simply flip the Ikea Kallax shelf on its side, this storage solution is available on any budget! Just like in our design above, we flipped over the shelving, fitted some baskets beneath for shoe storage, and placed a comfy throw on top; this made a visually appealing, practical and also cosy storage solution.

There is nothing worse than walking through your narrow hallway and knocking every coat and scarf off the hook along the way. Figuring out where to store your bulky winter coat can often be a problem, and there are so many ways to do it! Instead of sticking to the classic wall hooks, why not try an innovative peg board...
And in Blue Peter fashion, here's one we made earlier! One of our designers, Milena, came up with this smart storage solution for a client who was bored of tripping over her family's coats whenever she came home. This hallway peg board is family proof and allows for flexibility; being able to move the pegs around to wherever is convenient is a lifesaver.

Sometimes unique spaces require bespoke solutions, whether it's a small, awkward spot or a huge, annoying space, there is always a bespoke answer. This hallway into one of our client's kitchens was really wide and a little too open, this area was just going to waste while clutter was gathering elsewhere, and so our designers thought up this beautiful bespoke hallway unit.
The tall cupboard allows for bonus coat and shoe storage, as well as overflow for any cleaning items in the kitchen. One of our favourite aspects of this piece is the small built-in alcove bench which allows the owners to slip on their shoes with ease and hang their favoured coats and accessories behind them.

We understand that every inch of your home is precious, so don't let space go to waste! So often we see that the underneath of client's stairs are left lonely and empty, when there is so much they could be doing to utilise the area.
To make the most of the space under your stairs, consider floating shelves to showcase your most cherished possessions or installing cabinets for convenient shoe storage. Our favourite use of the underutilised space beneath your stairs is fitted storage, like our design above. Fitting shelves and cupboards and painting them the same colour as your wall creates a beautiful and cohesive look. Have a little extra space? Why not try tucking away a seat for a cosy reading nook to help steal a moment for yourself.
5. Narrow hallway storage ideas

Figuring out storage solutions for your slim hallway can become frustrating, with clunky furniture getting in your way and the space often feeling cramped and tight.
The key to slim hallway storage is to keep your floor space as free as possible, small wall hooks are great for hanging accessories and they can even act as wall décor like in the example above! Benches are also still an option for narrow hallways, you will just want to look for those with a smaller width and as much storage as possible. To make the hallway feel more spacious, choose furniture with slim legs that allow you to see more floor space.
Other narrow hallway storage ideas incorporate floating shelves, adding a mirror cabinet or even some decorative baskets which can be easily moved and used for any of your hallway storage desires.

There are so many ways to make your hallway storage more modern to suit the style and aesthetics of the rest of your house. Fitted bespoke furnishings are an obvious answer, and they don't just have to be used in your entranceway; if you have a tight corridor on the way to your bedroom, consider some fitted wardrobes to store your clothing.
To make your hallway storage more modern and aesthetically pleasing, you could switch up the shoe bench and float it against the wall, or replace the hinge door cabinets with sliding doors instead.
