House tour: Victoria's beautifully minimalist home

Written by Rosie Ellis | Aug 7, 2019 3:30:00 PM

After completing her first room with us, Victoria Baker was so taken with the My Bespoke Room process, she continued to work with us for the rest of her home.  After designing for the lovely Victoria, we then had the pleasure of visiting her in the comfort of her new home! As an online design company, it was such a delight to be able to see these online designs become a reality and we're excited to share this with you.

As soon as you enter Victoria's home, you're met with this beautiful cabinet that is styled effortlessly with flowers, a couple of ornaments and a mirror to bounce light around.  The extra storage is also a bonus - Yes please!

The living room

This is Victoria's favourite room in the home, and it's not hard to see why.

It's amazing how personal style evolves and is defined throughout the My Bespoke Room process. By working with Rachel, Victoria definitely found her personal style, and as a result, Rachel designed rooms that she adores and makes her feel all happy inside!

The living room is glamorous, sophisticated and elegant, and exactly what Victoria envisioned. Before My Bespoke Room Victoria's room was orange, then it was grey and blue, and now it's the perfect balance of neutrals.

Grey and beige = greige, the new trend! Grey took the interior world by storm, and all new builds and show homes were grey on grey and sometimes, this can make a property look quite cold and stark. By introducing warmer off-whites and greys, you add a cosiness to a neutral room without risking being labelled Magnolia!

What is it when you combine storage and style in one gorgeous sideboard? An interior designer's dream. We adore this sideboard, and the way it's been styled in perfect balance.
Ambient lighting and a large mirror to bounce natural light around the room adds depth and ensures a light and bright room in the day, and a snug abode in the evenings.

A small washroom that makes a BIG impact

Florals? In the bathroom? Groundbreaking.

This washroom is little in size but large in style. Florals are definitely not just for spring. The oversized botanical print wallpaper is definitely one of the most striking elements in this bathroom; I think we can all agree that it's 'blooming' lovely. It's also a lot easier to splurge on wallpaper when you only need one roll!

This loft conversion is a space of dreams. Victoria, with Rachel's expertise,  has made a calming and beautiful oasis to retreat to - a must with three children! We love the soft, warmer neutral wallpaper and brass accents which makes this space super on-trend yet timeless.

Blush is never a bad idea. We adore the addition of colour to this room, and it perfectly complements the brass and grey scheme. A mirrored chest of drawers combined with a glass and chrome lamp proves that you can mix metals in just one room - it just requires a little balance!

A fashionable dressing room

Victoria only needed a mini makeover to update her AMAZING walk-in wardrobe. The space isn't huge, but she's certainly made the most of it. Opposite her bespoke wardrobes is a gorgeous dressing table, a large wall mirror and two table lamps for perfect symmetry.

A graceful bedroom for a little girl

Ok, talking to the ladies here, we have a question for you... Is this not a bedroom that would have been beyond your wildest dreams when you were a little girl? This elegant bedroom is super chic, giving ultra 'big girl' vibes making your little one feel that little more mature, but with enough fun and flowers to keep them young and fun!

This bedroom is truly magical: a feather pendant that looks like a fluffy cloud, a floral wall mural, soft pastels and not to mention, blush pink will fulfill your little girl's pink craving without painting all the walls fuchsia!

A glamorous bedroom for a growing girl

Victoria's eldest is growing up, and her room needed to grow with her. By creating a more neutral overall look, cushions, soft furnishings and artwork can add personality and character to this girl's room, whilst still being a classy and sophisticated retreat that will accompany her right through her teenage years

A playroom that walks on the wild side

Evidence that children's rooms and playrooms don't need to be full of colour clashing, or an assault on the senses. You can have fun in monochrome (a black & white backdrop also makes any splash of colour really POP!), and use patterns and wall art to add character.

Don't forget your halls, landings and stairs!

Console tables are perfect for adding storage to those smaller areas, or the spaces that are largely ignored when it comes to decorating the home. We believe you should make the most of every last ounce of space in your home, and halls and landings are the perfect spot for storing your knickknacks, thingamajigs and bits and bobs, whilst looking stunning at the same time.

Sometimes there isn't always the space for a stunning console table or cabinet, but that doesn't mean the area should be neglected. Statement wall art or gallery walls are the perfect additions to a hallway, staircase or landing. They can inject some personal style, display those family photos and even add a splash of colour.

Adding natural wood gives a more organic element and adds warmth to a more neutral room design. We love this small console table, and how the grey wash on the wood completely ties in with the rest of the scheme!
