Welcome to Interior Designer Nardus' stylish house tour! What began as a chance to freshen up his London flat turned into a breathtaking transformation, demonstrating how effortlessly you can evolve your space as your style shifts.
With his husband starting a new job abroad, their London furniture found a new home in France, leaving Nardus with a completely blank canvas - and he didn't hold back! It's time for a room by room tour of this jaw-dropping transformation...

A bold and balanced living space

The first room we're diving into is the open plan living room which examples Nardus' new style preferences. Previously the interior was quite bold with deep blues, pops of mustard and blush, brass accents and he loved it - the more colour, the better!
However, as time moves, design styles begin to evolve, and 8 years later Nardus found himself leaning towards a more organic, modern style that feels neutral, inviting, polished, yet casual.
With mental health being a priority, Nardus' home is all about creating those "ahh" moments after a long day, so he designed a space that instantly makes you exhale the moment you walk through the door.
But it's not all about peace and quiet—Nardus and his husband love to entertain, and they want guests to feel just as at ease as they do. To keep the good vibes flowing (and the stress levels down), Nardus carefully selected fabrics for the sofa, rugs, and furniture that are stylish but also super easy to clean. So, when the red wine starts flowing, there's no need for panic!

In the updated living space, sleek curved furniture radiates sophistication, while the rich dark green walls bring serious depth and drama. To top it off, bold abstract wall art adds a fresh, modern edge, helping to strike the perfect balance between style and comfort. It's a room that practically invites you to kick back, relax, and soak it all in!
"Space is always an issue for apartment living in London. I wanted enough comfy seats for entertaining indoors, but without making the space feel too cramped. A larger modular sofa with a moveable footstool gives us the option to add or remove seating when needed" - Nardus

Also a part of the stunning open plan space is Nardus’ dining area which is all about making a statement while staying totally cosy.
The curvy, cloud-like dining chairs are just begging you to sink into them, making those dinner parties last long into the night. And let’s talk about that bold, geometric sideboard—it's not just storage, it's art! Paired with a stunning round table that keeps the conversation flowing, this space feels both intimate and sophisticated.

A cool, calming hallway

Tying all the spaces together in Nardus' home is the welcoming hallway, painted in a calming, cool sage green (Park Life by COAT) that instantly makes you feel at ease the moment you step inside.
Nardus couldn't quite let go of all the bright colours from his previous décor. So, the Antoni Dragan painting of Tower Bridge, with its bold, bright colours, found the perfect spot on the wall. And honestly, it couldn’t look better against that calming backdrop!
A deep green main bedroom of dreams

In the main bedroom, Nardus really didn’t hold back. But there were a few bumps along the way...
"This is an unusually large bedroom for a London apartment, so I had to be careful and select the correct scale and proportion of furniture.
Therefore, I opted for an emperor sized bed, chest of drawers instead of bedside tables (which would have been too low for the height of the base and mattress) and also included oversized lamps to balance out the height of the headboard. " - Nardus

Finally, the tall, luxurious headboard adds height whilst the large area rug frames the bed perfectly. And cushions? You can never have too many! Nardus went all out with plush, layered cushions that give the room a soft, inviting feel.
And let's talk about the floor to ceiling curtains which not only perfectly fit the scale of the room, but also adds an extra touch of luxury, making the room feel even more inviting.

A serene home office

Onto the home office where Nardus works his magic creating dream spaces for his clients! And gone are the days of drab work-from-home setups - Nardus has crafted a home office that’s as functional as it is fabulous.
"I often work from home, so had to create a space for myself to work from, but also I didn’t want to entirely give up on the 2nd guest bedroom.
Working from the dining table with cables and fabric and paint samples everywhere is just not an option, so I decided on a (very comfy!) sofa bed for this space with a desk space to work from. During the week my home office now feels so calm and relaxing and when guests are staying, it transforms into a bedroom with a king sized bed in minutes! Perfection." - Nardus

The soothing green walls create a calm and productive environment, making it the ideal space for diving into tasks. Meanwhile, the chic desk and cosy boucle chair in a mid-century modern silhouette offer the perfect combo of comfort and style - because who says you can't have both?
And that artwork? It’s a statement piece that gives the room a burst of creative energy! With ample natural light streaming in from the desk’s prime window spot, this office beautifully balances modern minimalism with inviting warmth, transforming work-from-home days into something to look forward to.

A tiny guest room reimagined

"This bedroom always felt a bit cramped and small. When we first moved in, the King Size bed from our previous place had to move with us and so when I had the opportunity to buy a new bed, I opted for a Double instead. Now everyone comments on how large the room is and it does feel much bigger. It just shows why scale and proportion of furniture in a space are so important because it changes how a room feels." - Nardus
